After many years in the Hollywood Movie industry, my husband retired in1997, when we relocated to Prescott, AZ. Prior to my move, I was a volunteer with the Los Angeles County Court System as a Foster Mom. That experience motivated me to go back to school and pursue a career in the legal arena. Thereafter, I took a hiatus from work to become a caregiver for my in-laws. At the time, I did not realize how a crisis with my in-laws would effect me as well. Adult protective services called my husband and said if we did not take responsibility for them they would stay at the convalescent hospital at their own expense, and they could not return to their home. The cost for their stay would have cost them between $6,000 to $7,000 a month that they could not afford. As a solution we bought a large home with a guest house for them to stay in and I became their taxi service, accountant, cook, HR (we hired in-home-care help) their dependentcy became my responsibility. I can't say I did everything perfect but they stayed with us for about 3 years. There were no surprises... we all had to work on physical and emotional space to make the surprise scenerio work. Since then, I have learned that a crisis in a family like my in-laws experienced is not unusual,

 

I have been drawn to client services throughout my career, when my husband took on a project traveling throughout the United States with our then,10 year old son, Jonathan. That project gave me the opportunity to return to school and I obtained my Real Estate license receiving the award during my first year as Rookie of that year, selling over 6 million in sales (no typo). 

 

Since 2003 I have served the Prescott, Arizona community as a successful Real Estate Professional, combining 27 years of related client service experience.  My formal education is a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies, numerous real estate designations, certifications with a compassion to serve the Baby Boomer and beyond generation, I expanded my education and added the non-real estate, Certified Senior Advisor designation.

 

I am you!  A home owner, a tax payer, parent, grandparent and a concerned senior citizen. As Baby Boomers, we are all facing challenges normal to the aging process. The purpose of this website then, is to address; smart sourcing choices, Independency at risk, affordability challenges, outliving our savings are but a few of senior issues.

As it is with life, real estate is in a constant state of change, but with careful planning, and a straightforward approach, together we can prevent compromising our largest investment...our home! Because the Baby Boomer generation will live longer than those before us, we must consider its effect. We may outlive our savings and will need to address unexpected health issues, finances that will affect the maintenance of our chosen lifestyle. The most important desire seniors want is to keep their independence and lifestyle intact, having a voice, staying efficient, effective and empowered as long as possible...that's the bottom line!

  

Community: It is this giving back to the Prescott community that has become an essential part of who I am and choose to support nonprofit organizations that aligns with my passion. Meals on Wheels(Seniors), Yavapai Humane Society(Animals) and Christian Education Scholarship Fund.

 

Personal:

I am a proud parent of three adult children, a rambunctious 6 year old grandson and 7 month old Drake. The standard house rule; 2 dogs of pitbull mix is a Must!
